Akhilah has Alopecia Areata/Totalis. In February 2012, she began to lose all the hair on her scalp, eyelashes and eyebrows. Thankfully this year she grew back her eyelashes, eyebrows and some hair on her scalp. The hair on her scalp has not completely filled in yet.

Unfortunately, her Alopecia is flaring up again ....and that's why I started this site. I also started this site for any parent who is struggling with this disease and to offer solutions (if I can) to help cope with this difficult and often depressing disease.
